Attorney Peter Brackney is helping to coordinate Nicholasville’s Main Street Clean Sweep. The event will be held on April 21, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in downtown Nicholasville, Kentucky.
The Nicholasville event is co-sponsored by Nicholasville NOW! and Bluegrass Greensource. Peter serves on the board of Nicholasville NOW! and is helping to coordinate the event on behalf of the organization. Bluegrass Greensource will be holding similar events throughout central Kentucky on and around Earth Day, April 22.
Main Street Clean Sweep is a one-day, community-led litter clean up in participating cities and towns throughout Central Kentucky. Now in its fourth year, Main Street Clean Sweep will take place in Nicholasville on Friday, April 21st. Community members will gather to pick up and dispose of litter in their communities. This event is widely attended, encourages community engagement, pride in place, and beautifies the downtown area, which boosts support for local businesses. Clean ups will be held rain or shine.
